MY HOLIDAY IN CIREBON

During Christmas and new year holiday, I and my family went to Cirebon. Uniquely, this was a sudden holiday, so we didn’t plan it seriously. One week before we go there, I suggested my mom and my dad to go to Semarang or Malang for holiday. But, they didn’t want because the distance is too far and if we go to Malang we can’t go to Bromo because my dad has an asthma, so he can’t be in a cold place. It’s not fun, if we go to Malang, but we don’t go to Bromo, isn't it? Suddenly, the day before we go to Cirebon, my mom said, “How if we go Cirebon?” I and my dad  thought, it’s not a bad idea, so we decided to go to Cirebon.

We went to Cirebon for one day. I went to Cirebon in the morning at 6 a.m by car and came back in the afternoon. There was no interesting things during the trip because the trip from Bandung to Cirebon used tolls. But, after we arrived at Cirebon, I can feel Cirebon is a nice and interesting city. The atmosphere of Cirebon look like Sukabumi. The city is small, quiet, and pretty hot. There are so many historical building. The distance between one destination and other destination is close. The interesting things in Cirebon is there are so many brick gate. Many buildings and store have a brick gate in the front of buildings, such as Bank, Mall, small store, and more.

First, after we arrived at Cirebon, we went to Keraton Kasepuhan. There was a tour guide who accompanied us and told a story about Keraton Kaepuhan. Uniquely, Keraton kasepuhan is an Islamic kingdom, so every architecture in Keraton Kasepuhan have a history and meaning. Most of them related to Islam. For example, there are Mande Malang Semirang that has 6 main pillars which symbolize rukun iman. After we arrived at the end of Keraton Kasepuhan, the tour guide left us to take a rest. There were so many beautiful spot to take some pictures, so I and my mom take so many pictures there. The photos aren’t just me but also the architecture of Keraton Kasepuhan. It was very fun and interesting to went there because we weren’t had a fun, but also can learn about history of Keraton Kasepuhan.

The second place I visited was Waterland Ade Irma. That was a beautiful place, especially the villa. Many tourists come there to swim or just take some picture like me or just eat and take a rest. After we finished walk around the waterland, we came to seafood restaurant inside the waterland because we were very hungry. It was very crowded at the first floor, so we decided to eat at second floor. After that, we called the waiter to order and the waiter said we have to wait for minimal 1 hours because there were so many people who order there. I was very frustrated because I was very hungry. So, we decided to found another restaurant.

After I finished eat, I went to Batik Trusmi to bought batik for my big family in Bandung. At Batik Trusmi, there were a lot of batiks with various pattern. The most famous pattern is mega mendung and floral. They didn’t just sell batik fabric but also batik dress, shirt, pants, and more. My mom was very enjoyed shopped there. After that, my aunt called my mom, she said that she wanted melarat cracker, so we went to small store near Batik Trusmi to by melarat cracker and other Cirebon’s special food.

At 4 p.m we went back to Bandung by car and arrived at 7 a.m. We all fel tired, but happy at the sametime and also my body and brain felt fresh again for school later. I thought this was one of my best holiday, although this was the shortest holiday. Why? Because I didn’t just have fun but also learn many things.
