My Goal My Ambition

Being an architect has been my dream since I was a kid. This didn't come suddenly. I grew up in a family where the majority work in the arts. Almost all of my uncles and cousins were architects, so it was a common thing that I had an interest in art since childhood and had the same dream as them.

In my opinion, my personality is very suitable to be an architect. I am someone who enjoys creating new things, making innovations, and likes to work with other people. In my opinion, being an architect is a job that best fits my personality and my passion

Since I was little, I have known that becoming an architect is not easy. Since elementary school, my parents have registered for drawing lessons and several times I have participated in drawing competitions. The best achievement I ever got, was when I won 1st place in the provincial level drawing competition that held by ITB.

It was the most memorable competition for me because it was the first time I won 1st place and even more happily, the competition was held by ITB, which is my dream university. So, the competition made me even more motivated to enter ITB.

Now I rarely participate in competitions but I still often practice at home. If I have a free time I like to try to draw using media that I have never tried before or just draw anything with my favorite media, watercolor. Doing something like that is a healing time for me. When I feel stressed, sometimes I draw anything to refresh my mind.

Being an architect is not only concerned with drawing skills, but also I have to good at academic skills. Therefore, I always instill in myself to balance between artistic and academic abilities. Therefore, since childhood I have always tried to get good learning results.

Initially, my desire to become an architect was based on my likes and interests in the arts. However, lately I have been thinking about something else. What can I actually achieve or create if I become an architect. I don't want my goals to just follow my wishes, but I expect more than that. I felt that I had to have another, bigger goal.

Then, it comes to my mind that if I become an architect later, I want to create an area with the advantages of building technology. So, the building can withstand a disaster. I wish I could actually build the building in Pangandaran, which is close to my hometown, Ciamis. I hope that my dream can be achieved and useful for many people
