Tanah lot is an icon of bali island that must be visited. it's Located at Tanah Lot street, Beraban village, Kab. Tabanan, Bali. The distance is 15km from denpasar.

There is temple in Tanah Lot, Batu Bolong Temple. Why the name is Batu Bolong Temple because the rock that stick out in to the sea was hollow (bolong). Batu Bolong Temple was built to pray God for holiness. Enjung Batu Bolong area is a place that always used to held Melasti Ceremony and Pakelem Ceremony, where the meaning of both Ceremonies is to purify the world. The Ceremony of Batu Bolong Temple is every Rabu (Wednesday) Wage, Wara Langkir according to the Balinese calendar. Under the temple, there is a small cave in which there are sea snakes. Local people believe the snake is a temple guard. The snake has a long body and tongue. Its body is white and black stripe.

The best time to visit Tanah Lot at sunset is around 5pm. Usually tourists take photos, take selfies, take a walk or just enjoy the sunset. No need to worry about lodging. Around Tanah Lot there are many lodgings. There are villas, simple lodgings, and star hotels. If you want to save your money you can choose simple lodging, but if you have more budget you can choose 5 star hotel or villa. There are a lot of shops selling souvenir or balinese handicraft such as pia, pie susu, orbalinese wooden carved mask  around parking lot.

KRAKATOA THAT DESTROYED THE WORLD The 1883 eruption of Krakatoa in the Sunda strait began on the afternoon of 26 August 1883 until in the morning of 27 August 1883. This eruption was the one of the biggest disaster in the world. The explosion was the biggest and the loudest. Anyone near Karakatoa will be definitely deaf.
